The story so far
A quarter of a century of noise
For 25 years Eclectix have been turning Dorking's pubs into dance floors.
Drums up front, a scarlet fiddle cutting through the middle, and pop songs you know reworked into something you weren't expecting. That's the formula, and it hasn't failed us yet.
For about ten years our home was the room upstairs at the Star, rehearsing while Ian was the landlord, then heading downstairs to join in at the end of open mic night.
Eclectix take the songs everyone knows and give them a good shake: Mr Blue Sky and The Lovecats, Summer in the City and Grace Kelly, Rasputin and Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!. If it gets a pub singing, it's fair game.
